I wanted to submit a piece that incorporated both research material as well as an innovative presentation. In my presentation I have examined the effects of the absence of the discourse of race and class within some feminist literature such as Eve Ensler's celebrated Vagina Monologues. I have also incorporated my own constructed monologues that represent the specified accounts of oppression black women that I have grown up with experienced. These monologues demonstrate both the duality of being black and being woman as well as the oppression associated with it. My actual presentation would include a synopsis of the supported research within my paper as well as the verbal presentation of my monologues (both are included within my attached paper).
